• ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Below are a few specific instances of my contributions to real-world systems and projects.

  • Across fintech/insurtech, ethics/stakeholders, and ecosystem work, I’m strongest where ideas meet constraints and where outcomes depend on execution, trust, and context. This is the foundation of how I now approach venture investing.

We believe in the power of creativity to drive change. By founding media and creative platforms, we harness artistic expression to challenge narratives and foster dialogue. Our creative solutions are designed to engage and inspire, bridging gaps between technology and culture. Chief Revenue Officer

Baloon Africa . Launching Embedded Insurance (0→1)

    Context

Insurance adoption remains low when treated as a standalone product, disconnected from daily financial behavior.

    What I’m doing

I currently lead go-to-market and revenue strategy for a fully digital insurance product, designed to integrate directly into fintech and telco platforms. The focus is on embedding insurance into existing financial rails so protection becomes accessible, intuitive, and scalable.

This work requires close coordination across product, partnerships, regulation, and distribution in a highly constrained environment.

0→1 commercialization, cross-stakeholder alignment, and disciplined execution in regulated fintech and insurtech markets.

At Hapsa DIA, we leverage deep insights into fintech and public affairs to craft strategic initiatives that resonate across diverse markets. Our commitment to understanding the pulse of the communities we serve allows us to create solutions that are not only innovative but also culturally relevant and impactful. Head of Business Development Group

InTouch Group . Scaling B2B revenue across 15 African markets

    Context

Pan-African fintech expansion is rarely linear: markets differ, teams are distributed, and growth depends on execution more than vision.

    What I did

As Group Head of Business Development, I built the B2B revenue function from scratch, growing it from 0 to 1,700 clients in roughly three years. I led and coordinated 15+ business development teams across multiple countries, setting targets, hiring, coaching, and aligning execution across cultures and time zones.

Under this structure, B2B became responsible for approximately 70% of total company revenue and contributed directly to making the company EBITDA positive.

Scaling distribution-led growth, building teams and process across markets, and translating strategy into durable financial outcomes.

Building trust and fostering connections are at the heart of what we do. Through our community engagement initiatives, we bring together stakeholders, foster collaboration, and empower local voices. Our approach ensures that innovation is inclusive and beneficial for all. Strategy Manager

Emerging Ag . Ethics, Stakeholders Engagement and Institutional Trust

    Context

Innovation in science and policy-adjacent fields fails when legitimacy and trust are treated as secondary.

    What I did

I managed ethics and international stakeholder engagement for science-driven coalitions operating at UN and FAO levels. This included designing engagement strategies, supporting crisis preparedness, and aligning institutions, researchers, and communities in environments where missteps carry long-term consequences.

Judgment under pressure, second-order thinking, and the ability to operate where credibility matters as much as speed.

Nouakchott Innovation Lab . Building a relevance-first pipeline

    Founder

    Context

Many locally grounded ideas fail before funding not because they lack merit, but because they are not yet legible to institutions or capital.

    What I’m building

I’m building the Nouakchott Innovation Lab, focused on funding early pilots and supporting founders before they are “ready” by traditional standards. The lab prioritizes relevance-first experimentation and founder credibility over performative innovation.

This includes leading Mauritania’s national hackathon with Financial Afrik as a pipeline for execution-driven founders.

Early-stage judgment, ecosystem design, and an understanding of how credible ventures emerge before scale.

  • Crisis & Risk Management

    Decision-Making Under Pressure

    Context

Some environments demand restraint, clarity, and timing more than visibility.

    What I did

Across public affairs, science coalitions, and corporate contexts, I led crisis-sensitive communications and strategy where political, reputational, and institutional risk were real. This work required aligning internal teams, managing external narratives, and protecting long-term credibility.

Calm decision-making in high-stakes situations and an ability to manage downside risk—skills directly relevant to investing.

    Founder Experience & Writing

    Context

Understanding founders requires having built without guarantees.

    What I did

I founded and led publishing and creative initiatives, including a development-focused magazine and independent editorial platforms. Alongside this, I wrote long-form analysis and editorials on fintech, economic systems, and long-term national vision.

Writing has been a tool for testing ideas, surfacing patterns, and staying close to how systems evolve over time.
